According to Indian media, the Congress Working Committee has approved a resolution to make party leader Rahul Gandhi the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha.


In the recently held Lok Sabha elections, Rahul Gandhi won from Rae Bareli and Wayanad in Kerala.


According to Indian media, after the Congress Working Committee meeting, party leader Kumari Selja said that the party's working committee wishes Rahul Gandhi to take over as the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha.


Senior Congress leader and newly elected member KC Vengopal said that the Congress Working Committee has unanimously requested Rahul Gandhi to take over the duties of Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha.


He said that Rahul Gandhi's tireless work in the election campaign has also been appreciated in the resolution of the working committee.


It should be noted that in the Lok Sabha elections in India, BJP's alliance NDA won the necessary seats to form the government, after which Narendra Modi will become the Prime Minister of India for the third time, while the opposition alliance 'India' won Modi's mandate. and won 234 Lok Sabha seats.
