The first batch of cherries from Pakistan reached China

Export of cherries from Pakistan to China has started.


According to the statement released by NLC, the first batch of cherries from Pakistan has reached China, the NLC reefer truck loaded with cherries had left from Gilgit-Baltistan.


 The statement said that 6 metric tons of cherries were loaded on the truck of NLC, the truck reached Tashkargan in China via Khunjarab. NLC's truck reached China from Gilgit-Baltistan in just 3 days, NLC's reefer container maintained freshness of cherries during delivery.


Cherries are treated at a special plant in Gilgit-Baltistan to maintain international standards, the second batch of cherries will leave for China next week.


Export of fresh fruits has been made possible thanks to NLC's special service, with the help of NLC's referral service, valuable foreign exchange can be earned by delivering fruits and agricultural commodities to regional markets.


This year, 500 tons of cherries will be delivered to China, which will earn the country a lot of foreign exchange
